The release of biopics about serial killers, such as “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” in 2022, has heightened the public’s fascination with murder. According to the FBI, there are anywhere between 25 and 50 active serial killers in America at any moment, and many have never been caught.
Throughout a person’s life, they are likely to encounter 36 murderers on average without realizing it. The disturbing aspect of this is that we often cannot distinguish them and may even be acquainted with one.
