OPERATION LONDON BRIDGE

A secret plan known as Operation London Bridge was executed upon the death of Queen Elizabeth II. This plan covered everything from the announcement of her death to the rules of succession and transportation of the Queen’s coffin from Balmoral Castle in Scotland to London.

The first to receive the news was the UK’s Prime Minister, Liz Truss, who was notified with the message “London Bridge is down.” The UK had made these preparations since the ’60s for the monarch’s death.
