Reputation
Pitbulls unfortunately have a terribly bad reputation. They are often perceived as being aggressive due to their large heads and stocky build. Because of this, as well as the strict laws regarding Pitbull ownership, so many animals end up in shelters.
In fact with pitbull Stigmas are attached.The couple was aware of the stigma surrounding these dogs. They understood their true nature. Because of this, they had adopted many Pitbulls in the past as their means and resources allowed. They had never seen anything in their own dogs that justified their bad reputations. They had no idea what fate had in store for them.
