The Imaginary ‘Perfect Child’
The perfect woman doesn’t exist. Society has long expected women to be two-dimensional creatures without complexity or depth. But we know enough to realize how wrong that is. This girl’s parents haven’t gotten the memo, though.
They want her to be a good-two-shoes who get perfect grades, is always polite, and acts responsibly. And while she’s all that, she’s also emotional, loud, and immature, and that’s okay. She probably wishes she didn’t have to hide her romantic relationship from her parents.
