No Time for Chatter

Laura turned to see Nini interacting with Adrien. On any other day, she wouldn’t be bothered to look twice, as Adrien was a regular in the restaurant, just like herself. Also, the waitress was known to be friendly to all customers.

However, this was different. In the middle of a very busy morning, it was unusual to see Nini interact with customers much, or indulge in chit-chat with them. She couldn’t help but wonder what was going on.
