Breaking the Monotony
According to the Weinman Family Law website, the average length of marriage in the United States is seven to eight years. The divorce rate is also daunting, sitting at 50%. Nevertheless, there are still plenty of examples of happy marriages that last for decades.

However, long marriages can get monotonous, even if two people love one another. Things can get so bad that switching the order one watches his or her favorite shows can feel like a rush of adrenaline.
