“Like Arrows in the Hands of a Warrior”
Motherhood and fatherhood are precious opportunities and big challenges to nurture the next generation, as highlighted by the classic Kahlil Gibran poem, “On Children,” that describes children as living arrows sent forth from bows.
This woman has three kids and she thought it was a brilliant idea to get three arrows for them. The mother is like a bow, guiding her arrows (children) through life’s journey until they’re ready to fly on their own. Unlike an archer, she can’t retrieve her “arrows” once they have flown away.
