Family Medicine Autism confirmed it: people with ADHD suffer from constant feelings of shame and low self-esteem, and to be able to cope, they need constant reassurance.

Emotional hyperarousal causes these characteristics, and most times, reminding them of their value is enough. In this comic example, reassurance surely helped, but what a loveable way to confirm one is not hated by receiving the message firsthand! It does feel like a win, too.
