John Wesley Shipp: From “The Flash” to a Versatile Acting Journey
Mitch Leery, portrayed by John Wesley Shipp, is the title character’s father on the drama series “Dawson’s Creek.” Before the series, he played the lead role of Barry Allen in “The Flash” from 1990 to 1991 and played the role of Henry Allen in the 2014 series.
He lent his voice to Eobard Thawne, the Flash’s greatest enemy, in the animated series “Batman: The Brave and the Bold.” In 2021, he appeared in “Stargirl” as Jay Garrick. He also starred in “Ruby Herring Mysteries: Prediction Murder” in 2022 as John Herring.
