Mercy James – Madonna’s Daughter
Besides her two biological children, singer-songwriter Madonna has 4 adopted children who were all raised together, but none made the headlines as much as her adopting Mercy James. She was adopted from Malawi after her teenaged mother died, but her family wanted her back after Madonna adopted her!
After many struggles and legal complications, Mercy finally arrived in the US to be adopted. She has grown up to be a happy and talented teen, as she is a gifted pianist. When mom Madonna opened a hospital in Malawi in 2009, it was named The Mercy James Institute for Pediatric Surgery and Intensive Care.
